Graduation!

Hunter graduated preschool today. They had there graduation early this year because there preschool teacher is having a baby and is due any day. It was a really cute program and Pete and I are very proud of our BIG boy. I have mixed feelings as a mom about my little boy growing up. I enjoy watching him learn and grow, but his independance is scary too. Hunter has acomplished alot in the last year. He can now ride his pedal bike without training wheels, something he just decided to do one day....all by himself. He writes his name, knows his phone #, days of the week, his alphabet (in sign laguage too) and he has also started taking on new responsabilities. He now feeds and waters our dog and cat, he empties the dryer, hauls out the garbage, puts away his folded clothes, makes his bed.....and anything else mom needs his help with. He is my little helper and I would be lost without him. He is a good big brother and a great son. We love him tons!

I went to bed and......

After everyone goes to sleep at my house, I usually stay up and read. I stayed up the other night and at about 10:30 decided it was time for bed. As I was walking out of the living room I flipped off the light switch but then instantly flipped it back on...I saw something.....

Shaydee had apparently decided that she wanted to come down stairs after Pete went to bed.....She didn't quite make it all the way to the bottom. I snuck up stairs, woke Pete up, and made him go look at her. She is sooo cute.

Mail Drop!

We had so much fun 4-wheelin Easter weekend we decided to go again. We went with my outlaws and our great friend Brian and his son Branson. We decided to ride to the mail drop, but we made a few side excursions also. We went to the "warriors walkway" a trail that is lined out by rock, supposedly made by indians long ago...who knows.

Then onto the mail drop, it was a long way down... this canyon leads into Rockville. Can you imagine what your packages had to go through...no wonder they didn't have 1-800-flowers back in the day.

While at the mail drop Brian and Branson had some snacks...they shared =)

Brian caught Shaydee and Branson holding hands...too cute.
We also went to "the barracks" (i think that what they called it) where we saw more beautiful views. When we got back to the trucks the kids played on the 4-wheelers while the Rhinos were being loaded.

EASTER!

We had such a fun Easter weekend. We went to the Stratton picnic on Saturday and went for a 4-wheeler ride with some of Petes family. It wasn't a ride we had done before, and there were a few places I got off and walked (i was on back with pete). On one such instance, after watching everyone almost wheelie over with just one rider, I get off and start up the trail. Pete, riding the bike, waits for me to get up the trail a ways and then starts up the "scary stuff". Jessie, Petes cousin, had already ridden his 4-wheeler up the trail and he had gotten off and was facing Pete talking to me as I walk up. All of a sudden he gets this horrible look on his face and starts running in Petes direction....I am walking up the trail so my back was to pete, but I knew by the look on Jessies face that Pete was in trouble, my heart stops. I turn around and what do I see....Pete, breezing past the "scary stuff" and Jessie...laughing at me.

Sunday we spent the day, just Pete, me, and the kids. We got up, did the basket thing and colored easter eggs. Pete had to boil extra ones for me. Then we called my dad and barrowed his Rhino. We hooked up to the trailer and headed out for Bumblebee to go play in the snow...we get there and Pete realizes that the Rhino key isn't in the rhino. Grrrr....we go back to my dads house, pick up the key and headed back out to Bumblebee. We had such a blast. We were breakin trail real easy until we were on the way back. We got stuck in the snow twice, and Pete and I had to push while HUNTER drove..... (and as Shaydee tells it "cried"). He was pretty nervous about having to steer and push on the gas at the same time, but he did a great job.

I'm Lost!

I am feeling totally lost without my kids this week. I let them go with Brenda (my mother in law) to visit April (my sister in law) for a week in Moab. I didn't know it was going to be this hard...I thought WAHOO! A whole week for me to sit around, be lazy, take a bubble bath, read my book, spend alone time with my hubby, or just do whatever. Well by day 3 I had accomplished everything I planned to do...and then some. I am so used to having to cook 3 meals, give the kids a bath, run Hunter to school, do the dishes, laundry, and everything else, that with all of this free time I am going crazy. I miss my kids and I feel like my whole world is gone. Luckily..THEY COME HOME TOMORRROW!!! PARTY!! I love my kids and am so blessed to have them, they bring joy to me everyday! Next week I will be blogging again about how CRAZY my kids make me. I'm so excited!
